Stir-Fried Celery and Shredded Pork | China Food Recipe
Celery is my favorite vegetable. It tastes refreshing and crisp, it is rich in nutritional value, contains a lot of fiber, minerals, protein and so on. Celery is a very healthy vegetable. Ingredients:
500g celery, 100g pork, appropriate amount of oil and salt, green onion, 1 slice of ginger, 2 cloves of garlic, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, half tablespoon of cooking wine, half tablespoon of starch, 1 teaspoon of white pepper
Cooking steps:
1. Prepare pork and celery. Don’t throw away the celery leaves after picking, celery leaves are also very nutritious, celery leaves can be salad or scrambled eggs.
2. Cut celery.
3. Chop green onion, ginger and garlic. Cut pork into shreds and place in a bowl. Add cooking wine, white pepper, starch and 1 tablespoon of oil, mix well.
Adding cooking wine and white pepper powder to the shredded meat can remove the fishy smell, and the starch can make the fried meat smooth and tender. Add a spoonful of oil. When frying the shredded pork, it will not stick to the pan.
4. Once the water’s boiling, we’re gonna parboil the celery, add a little salt, about half a minute in boiling water until the color of the celery becomes dark green, take it out of the pot.
5. After the celery is removed from the pot, quickly put it in cold water to cool it, so the color will not turn yellow.
6. Add oil to the pot and heat, pour chopped green onion, shredded ginger and garlic until fragrant. Then add the shredded pork and stir-fry until the color turns white.
7. Pour celery, then add salt and soy sauce, stir quickly and evenly over high heat, turn off the heat.
Tips:
- To scald celery briefly can remove part of the strong smell. Adding a little salt to the water will make the celery greener. Put it in cold water and let it cool, the color of celery will not turn yellow.
- Add cooking wine and white pepper powder to marinate the shredded pork, which can remove the fishy smell of pork, add a spoonful of oil, the shredded pork will not stick to the pan when frying.
