Stewed Spareribs With Carrots | Chinese Braised Pork Ribs
Today I will share a recipe of stewed spareribs with carrots. My daughter likes meat, not vegetables and fruits. The only vegetable she likes is carrots. China used to be very poor. You can only eat carrots in the winter when the carrots are cheap. Now you can eat carrots all year round. It is so happy. Every time I go to the vegetable market, I buy a bag of carrots. Whether it is salad, braised, steamed or fried, they are delicious. Carrots have rich nutritional value and are also called “little ginseng”.
There are many ways to cook ribs, and my favorite is “stewed spareribs with carrots”, which is an authentic Sichuan cuisine, can add a lot of vitamin C, healthy and nourishing. The ribs are soft and rotten, and the carrots are fragrant and sweet.
Ingredients:
500g spareribs, 1 piece of ginger, green garlic, moderate vegetable oil, 1 tablespoon of Sichuan bean paste, moderate salt and soy sauce
Cooking steps:
1. Put spareribs in boiling water and cook for 5 minutes, take them out of the pot and set aside. Then prepare a piece of rotten ginger.
2. Wash and cut carrots into slices, cut green garlic and set aside.
3. Put a proper amount of vegetable oil in the pot, add a tablespoon of Sichuan bean paste and crushed ginger to sauté the aroma.
4. Pour in spareribs and sauté for 1 minutes.
5. Add appropriate amount of water, just submerge the ribs.
6. Add appropriate amount of salt and soy sauce. Bring water to a boil and simmer for half an hour on low heat.
7. After half an hour, pour in carrots and continue to simmer on medium-low heat until soft.
8. Add garlic green garlic and appropriate amount of salt, mix well.
9. Chinese braised carrots and ribs, the ribs are soft and rotten, and the carrots are sweet and fragrant.
