Chinese Red Date and Brown Sugar Cake Recipe

Ingredients

  • 200g pitted red dates
  • 360ml pure milk
  • 200ml corn oil
  • 290g brown sugar
  • 12 eggs
  • 400g pastry flour
  • Moderate white sesame

Instructions

  • Cut red dates into small pieces.
  • Put red dates, corn oil and pure milk into the cooking machine and stir into a mud.
  • Pour the red date milk puree into a large bowl and set aside.
  • Put the brown sugar in a water-free and oil-free basin. Knock the eggs into brown sugar. Place the basin in a large basin filled with hot water to melt the brown sugar.
  • The brown sugar melts and stir with an electric whisk.
  • Pour the brown sugar egg liquid into the red dates puree and mix well.
  • Then sift into the pastry flour and quickly stir until there is no dry powder. Preheat the oven to 160 degrees in advance.
  • After mixing well, pour into 9-inch square mold and sprinkle with white sesame seeds.
  • Put the mold into the preheated steam oven and bake at 160 degrees for 55 minutes. (If it is a 6-inch square plate, bake it for 40 minutes.)
  •  Cut into pieces after cooling.

The baking time depends on the oven temperature and cake size.
